Why did the planning committee choose the theme “The Word of God, The Lenses Through Which We See the World”?

Because we recognize a deep and urgent need across our assemblies. As shared in a recent update from our brothers and sisters in Zambia, while there has been much growth in numbers, there is a corresponding need to grow in depth. We must grow deeper in the knowledge of God’s Word.

The Apostle Paul’s prayer in 2 Thessalonians 3:1 is our prayer: “Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored.” This conference is designed to help us do just that. We will have opportunities to study the Word together, to be built up in it, and to learn how it speaks to the real issues we face from church health and leadership to navigating a world that often opposes biblical truth. Let this be more than a theme for us; let it be a renewed commitment to make Scripture our final authority in all things.
